Currently, I Am Number Four is coming out in theaters. It was filmed in Pittsburgh and stars  newcomer heartthrob Alex Pettyfer along with the beautiful Dianna Agron (of GLEE fame.)

“Locke and Key” recently began shooting. This new FOX series includes Jesse McCartney in its cast. The pilot began filming last week.

“The Perks of Being a Wallflower” will be being shot in Pittsburgh and stars Harry Potter’s Emma Watson.

Rumors also recently circulated that Mischa Barton (the O.C.) was in town over the holidays shooting a flick.

Don’t forget to keep an eye out for Taylor Lautner’s “Abduction” this September among others. Click here for the Pittsburgh Film Office Filmography.

This is not a film town why do you insist on writing that its some celebrity hub? Let Pittsburgh be the blue collar that it is and enjoy it’s low-middle class theme….and it was ranked in forbes again…YAY but it was for most depressing city to work in top 5

I never called it a “celebrity hub,” so do not put words in my mouth. And actually IS developing into a film town. Do your homework. Hundreds of movies have been filmed here (many very recently) and there are multiple production companies and sound stages. Forbes did rank the Most Miserable Cities in America for 2011 and Pittsburgh is no where to be found. Thanks for reading my blog and being such a loyal follower, but what’s the point if you’re just going to be hurtful and nasty towards myself and in regards to Pittsburgh? Please refrain from bringing your negativity here!
