Sarah Palin: the New Kate Gosselin?

26 Mar

TLC  has announced that it will air 8 episodes of a reality television show/documentary series called, “Sarah Palin’s Alaska.”

The former Vice Presidential candidate will begin filming this summer in her home state and is being paid a rumored $1 million per episode. Gee, is that all?

Do you think it would be worth it? I think people will watch. TLC may have hit another ratings jackpot.  Love her or hate her, she is undeniably entertaining, sometimes in a good way, sometimes in a bad way, and even when she doesn’t mean to be at all. She has charisma, is sometimes slightly humorous and self-depreciating in a charming way, and is easy on the eyes. Plus, we DID put up with Jon and Kate Gosselin for years, and, somehow, Jersey Shore on MTV has a following….so you never know. There may be a train wreck in store. Or, it may be the beginnings of 2012 candidacy…which may or may not be one in the same. The price tag on her documentary series reality show is a bit much in my opinion, but my guess is TLC and Discovery Networks won’t mind with all of the exposure the show will surely get.

Saturday Night Live and political pundits alike will have a field day as Palin explores the beauty of Alaska for all of us to see.

Hey, maybe we’ll even see Russia from her porch!

Tiny Fey – the question is, are YOU ready?

Leaving the Runway … [SPOILER]

26 Mar

I’m appalled that Anthony from Project Runway got the boot tonight! His demeanor was utterly charming and he was always so upbeat.

The judges criticizing him for always using a similar, simple, silhouette, but he designed beautiful, feminine, and ladylike dresses that I feel most women would love to wear.

Is there any reason they are keeping MILA around with her space suits and color-blocking? WE GET IT! I mean, I think that her taste is too costumey, comic-book-ish, and too “out there” for the general public … yet it is too simple and subdued for the likes of Lady GaGa. (Some great analysis on her work this evening, here)

I am truly bummed that Anthony is leaving. He was so entertaining and talented; and I actually liked his dress tonight. Looks like I’ll now continue to pull for Seth Aaron. (Emilio is pretty good, too.)

Michael Kors was PMS’ing this evening, though, if I do say so myself. In fact … I think the whole judging panel was acting like someone stole their sunshine away.

Poor Anthony.

I’ll leave you with his words of wisdom:

“JUST BECAUSE YOU DON’T HAVE THE CROWN, DOESN’T MEAN YOU CAN’T BE THE QUEEN.”

Words to live by.

What do you think? There were a few outfits WAY more horrendous than his designs! Check out his online portfolio here.
