Glitzburgh Glam: Bebe Bridal Line Debuting this March

22 Dec

Bebe. While, yes, it’s a mall store, it definitely is a mall store with a whole lot of style, while still being affordable — and this is exactly why it appeals to so many. Unfortunately, as of late, they’ve become more well-known for their “comfy” clothing and animal-print clubwear than their more chic and sophisticated pieces. This is why they are re-branding and launching an upscale bridal line come March 2012. The line will feature “dramatic yet tasteful” silhouettes for the modern bride.

“Project Runway” runner-up and fan favorite Rami Kashou will be at the head of Bebe’s bridal collection. Another bonus? The price. With today’s economy, brides-to-be are trying to scrimp and save where they can. No one wants to get a sub-par bridal gown, but lately many budget-friendly AND nice wedding gowns have hit the market, as evidenced by Disney’s Princess collection, as well as the Vera Wang for David’s Bridal collection, replicas of the Kate Middleton / Alexander McQueen dream gown, and even a replica of Twilight Breaking Dawn’s Bella Swan gown for Alfred Angelo. (Which was, BTW, to die for! – – Pardon the pun.)

Bebe will just be the next step in affordable bridal wear, falling right in line with Anthropologie/Urban Outfitters’ launch of BHLDN and the brands listed above.

This collection  also shows that Bebe is maturing as a brand, and upping the ante as far as taste goes. Would you wear a Bebe wedding dress? Do share! Leave us a comment and let us know.

Kim Kardashian’s Wedding Headpiece – Were You a Fan?

22 Aug

This is hard-hitting news! (Kidding…)

… Sure, a lot of people would rather gouge their eyes out than listen to more “news” surrounding the Kardashian-Humphries nuptials  that took place this past weekend. However, I’m not one of them. SORRY! I happen to be a fan of both Kim AND weddings, so, I was elated to see photos from the (gorgeous!) ceremony.

One thing — aside from her “why-is-she-even-famous” status — that has been causing somewhat of a ruckus, though, was her headpiece. So, what were your thoughts on it – yay or nay?  Like or dislike?

It wouldn’t suit my personal tastes, but, I think that it is appropriate given Kardashian’s Armenian roots. Kind of gives her a “Princess Jasmine” a la Aladdin feel, right?

Kourtney Kardashian and Scott Disick Engaged….Or Not.

16 Feb

Today reports were swirling that Kourtney Kardashian and longtime love, Scott Discik, with whom she has a son, got engaged.

While a couple of tabloid magazines and celeb gossip tweets brazenly proclaimed the good news, Kardashian herself claims that th announcement is false.

Kourtney took to her Twitter page to say:  “WOW!! Where do the mags come up with this stuff? And claiming exclusives? Come on now.”

The couple is still going strong and raising son Mason, but a wedding is not in the immediate future, despite teasers of “Kourtney and Kim Take New York” showing Scott buying an engagement ring for Kourtney.
Guess we’ll all have to wait and see!

“It’s a Love Story, Baby Just Say Yes!”

~ Taylor Swift

…and whether that “love story” is about a person OR a dog, read on!! Rocket Science Productions, LLC. is currently accepting submission of essays and true stories for two separate book projects. I’m helping them to do so!

One is a compilation of real life stories of TRUE LOVE. Do you LOVE sharing your “how-we-met” story? Do you want to commemorate your wedding vows? Was your proposal straight out of a romance novel? Is your whole life reminiscent of a romantic comedy? Has your partner been there for you in a tough time? Are they overseas and you want to surprise them with this special gift? Or, do you want to tell that special someone how you feel? Then send it over! RSP, LLC will publish YOUR story of love in a nationally published book out just in time for Valentine’s Day! To learn more follow @RSPLoveStories on Twitter and like them on Facebook, here.

If the love of your life is a four-legged furry friend, then the other book project might just be for you! Rocket Science Productions is also seeking submissions for a collection of true DOG stories! Has your pet saved your life, literally OR figuratively speaking? Is your dog REALLY man’s best friend? Do you have an amazing, unbelievable, inspiring, touching, heartwarming, funny or adorable story about your pooch? We want you to share the good, the bad, the ugly, and the cute about your canine companions! Please, send the story our way – we’d “woof” to read your true doggie “tails!”  Follow @TrueDogStories on Twitter and “like” them on Facebook, here.

There is NO NEED to be a “professional” writer. For both books, we want the work to be that of real, everyday people like you and me….that’s what makes them TRUE stories, after all! Plus, we’ll edit for grammar and typos.

Show your love how important they are to you – whether dog or human – by sharing your story as part of a real PUBLISHED BOOK!

For further information or to submit, email: pghmediabutterfly@gmail.com.

Other titles by Rocket Science Productions include: For the Troops, the Imprinted Souls series, the Numbers Elementary series, and, their hallmark, the Stanley and Norman Bad Boy Basset Brothers books.

We can’t wait to hear what YOU have to contribute!
